When I meet people, or simply encounter them during my daily life, I am drawn to the inner self that their faces reveal, whether subtly or deafeningly loud.
Often we are unaware of the stories our faces tell everyone but us. Sometimes we attempt to masque that inner self deliberately, sometimes subconsciously. But always, and better than a mirror, a portrait can peer deep into a subject and allow a glimpse of inner feelings harbored there – like a voyeur of the soul.
This is my passion. |
